School for deaf-mute children CPAL

(08.01.2013)

Twenty Toshiba Satelit computers in mint condition with modem and IT Accessoires were handed out to the teacher's staff of the school for deaf-mute children in CPAL by the Peru-Aid. The notebooks ease the school's international contacts.

CPAL, the Centro Peruano de Audicion y Lenguaje, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The celebration of the anniversary is taking place at the moment and this unique school for deaf-mute children on the Latin-American continent is getting international recognition. Our beloved friend Grimanesa Wiese founded the school and is its president today. She has two very competent principals, Maria Matzumura and Melva Delgado. All three deserve our appreciation. Grimanesa Wiese gave birth to a deaf son named Rudolfo. He was a smart boy, but disabled. With the help of doctors and professors she managed to find and built up a new kind of training for deaf children. Thus a normal life for them is made possible. Today Rudolfo is married, has three children, works as a software specialist in a huge company, talks English and holds meetings even in Brussel.
