Promoting Art between North-South in 2001

(19.06.11)

Small beginnings can become something greater. After water colour paintings by artist Dimitri Fedotov had been shown and sold in some galleries and banks in Germany, we were asked by the community of Nettersheim back in 2001 if the Peru-Aid was able to convey a painter for wall paintings from Peru to their project ( a youth hostel in their natur conversation centre) which is supported by UNESCO institutions and which was awarded with a first prize.

What has become out of this project is visible in the wall paintings which were created by Dimitri Fedotov abd Brele Scholz. The …

Collecting Toys Campaign

At Christmas the Jesuits gave out toys out of our containers to more than 10.000 children in Villa El Salvador. The toys had been donated by children and families of our parish. Sharing something between each other became reality here.

In 2006 we and the Jesuits in Pamplona gave out breakfast and toys in a campaign to 320 children of four Barriadas (Comedores). Many thanks for the children and their collecting campaigns in Germany.

Building of Infrastructure, Schools and a Hospital Ward in Villa El Salvador and Huaycan

(19.06.11)

Report by Manfred Görgens:

Both, Villa El Salvador and Huaycan, are satellite towns of the capital Lima. They are marked by a tremendous sadness, violence, terror and prostitution. You start to believe that hell is on earth and that there is not such a thing as paradise.

'Villa El Salvador'

In March this year the first contact was made to a women's initiative which was founded by Maria Elena Moyano. Maria Elena Moyano was brutally murdered by terrorists of the 'Bright Path' (Sendoro Luminoso) when she was a young woman and mother at the age of 35 at a children's … mehr

Pamplona (Barriada of Lima)

(19.06.11)

Another interesting and rewarding project was added, the public school Ollantay with around 3.500 pupils. In return to a polite inquiry by the principal of the school in 2003, if the Peru-Aid would be able to help providing a school orchestre, forty musical instruments were bought in a music shop by the Peru-Aid.

In 2005 the school has already won the first prize with the Secundaria and the second prize with the Primaria in regional music competitions.

At the end of 2004 a delegation of the Peru-Aid was greeted warmly with a fantastic welcome which was also the occasion …
